Anything moody and visually entrancing works best at a hypnotic pace

2001 made that clear and it hasn't changed ever since

Tenet is an all out action movie

But I can see how Nolan’s over exposition can drag you down

I've heard conflicting things about this (take shelter), how much cosmic horror/lovecraftian influence is in here? Or am i tripping and thinking of something else

I think films like No country and Prisoners having an established high stakes premise takes away from it feeling like a slow burn even during it’s slower paced moments cus you know at any moment Wild s*** can happen. Which these films include. Burning is an exception cus you aren’t explicitly told what exactly is going on and it really takes it’s time to unfold.

I’ve seen some sites state Parasite, Don’t breathe, A quiet place as slow burns which I don’t agree with at all.
