Just want all of yall that disagree with me to answer one question, if Ye drops and we only get a 10 track album, would you be happy after all this waiting and the teased tracklists we got? Because that could be down to Rick. Like I say I don’t hate the man, he produced some of my favourite albums, but if he considers some of those extra tracks Ye added to the list (second tracklist onwards) then I’ll be disappointed
We literally got three Kanye albums in the past Two years. I’ll be fine with a strong 7 pice
i'd take a focused, concise project over a collection of unfinished songs thrown together. I think rick rubin can make that happen
That whole Rick Rubin made yeezus shorter thing is so overblown he just did what a producer does cutting the unnecessary fat and making the good ideas better
He was also an executive producer for TLOP and look how many tracks there are on this album
Each album has different needs, what needed to be cut from yeezus doesn't necesseraly need to be cut from DONDA
He's been hit or miss with mixing albums overall but regardless a f***ing legend and godfather of hip hop. Loved the mix he did of the Strokes newest album and was probably best Strokes musical output since 2003.
Regardless how you feel about the "loudness war" he was behind a lot of quality music. Licensed to Ill was the first album that got me into rap. It's clean as hell compared to other stuff that was coming out in that period, A seamless blend of pop, rock, punk and rap.
Lmao, what does this have to do with mastering ?

If these 10 tracks sound better than Ye and JIK I see no problem with that
Reign in Blood
Licensed to Ill
It Takes a Nation of Millions
Californication
Toxicity
Yeezus
who's that other guy who has classics in 4 diff decades being 57 years old?
Lmao, what does this have to do with mastering ?
Are you asking what Rick Rubin has to do with mastering?
he produced this. legend
!https://youtu.be/EKJbuEF0bAYwhat's so crazy about this is that Rick Rubin produced the the song that is sampled in this song, "Raining Blood" by Slayer in 1986
and then decades later remixed it and produced this for Lil Jon in 2004
This s*** is so bad.
This some mountain dew Jeep driving energy right here
Are you asking what Rick Rubin has to do with mastering?
Every album since the 2000s has been mastered loud, whether rick rubin is in there or not, the mastering will be loud

So you think quantity means quality.
