I lost 20 pounds during Covid by just eating one meal a day and I wasn’t even fat.
It is easy for some people
And Im going to say this. People need to stop asking questions like this.
We have an obesity crisis. People tend to enjoy foods with fats and sugars that are energy dense that trigger reward pathways in the brain.
Etc etc
Like we know the answer is clearly losing weight on average.
Not to mention we are aware that adipose cells never really leave making it easier to accumulate.
Now Im going to ignore the fact that some of you just suck ass at cooking food on a bulk in a world where a slice of bread is 110 calories and a tablespoon of peanut butter is like 90 calories and just day that bulking is hard. But losing weight is clearly harder on average for the population.
So please, can we cease these weird spite threads
?
If you're vegan, I gotta say gaining. It's hard as hell for me to keep a caloric surplus and eat enough protein. I do the peanut butter trick from time to time but that gets exhausting too
Never been fat so I can't relate, but it's difficult to gain weight healthily if you've been skinny all your life. You just don't have the appetite until you're a few months deep into a diet.
Your commitment to your gimmick on here is impressive.
The fact you think i have an online gimmick just shows how flawed my online self is. And my real self.
I'm sorry
Gaining muscle weight is HARD work. Gaining fat is easy af. Losing fat isn’t easy or hard. It’s very doable, it’s the middle ground
Losing weight and I say this as someone who's had trouble gaining weight. Generally speaking, doing things is easier than not doing things.
Idk gaining fat and losing fat isn’t that hard to me, gaining clean weight is by far harder IMO
Gaining weight for me because to eat so much gives me digestive problems
You be poopin?
Easier to gain weight to me
All you have to do is stop paying attention to what you’re eating and if you consistently go over and above maintenance calories, you’re gonna gain weight
Now gaining muscle… different story. That’s probably the toughest thing to do in all of fitness.
Losing weight is as simple as eating less. Period. If you eat less this week than you did last week, you’re basically guaranteed to lose fat.
It will get tougher once you get down to the lower body fat ranges but it’s really gonna boil down to will power.
So all in all.. it’s easier to gain weight because you can do so subconsciously for the average person, whereas for the average person you’ll have to consciously decide you want to eat less to lose weight, and use some will power to stick to it for long enough to see results.
What's hardest is not viewing life as a competition

Sounds like a very punishing perspective to have. I hope it helps you succeed.
