ive trained like five different martial arts and this plus in the thai clinch people get tossed, limbs cranked, most brutal fighting style next to lethwei which is basically bare knuckle muay thai with head butts
Dim Mak
MMA is basically becoming its own martial art so I’d say that. If we’re talking 1 specific discipline then combat sambo is the closest thing. It’s the best parts of striking, wrestling and jiu jitsu without being mma.
Boxing as a sport is probably the most lethal technically with how many deaths have occurred in the sport with repeated head trauma but outside the ring probably not.

thing is with boxing is every fight starts standing and all you need to knock someone out is a good one two which is drilled infinitely so it could be the best

Muay Thai stance couldn’t last a chance against a kick boxer or even an actual boxer

Actually I also had combat sambo in mind saw this guy Tsarukyan the other day against Joel Alvarez and pieced him up like a cheesecake, wrestling is absolutely the best base for mixed martial arts

What? Why do you say that? You don't sound like you know much about martial arts lol...

Every mma sparring we’ve had in my gym the Muay Thai guy had slim to 0 chances against a well rounded kick boxer with a low stance, take 12 to 6 elbows out and they’re just mediocre kung fu guys, no offense tho
It’s just that the Muay Thai stance is too high and doesn’t cover the vital lower organs much like the liver, so yeah a good shot to the liver and a hook would do it in my opinion

What...? Do you think Muay Thai guys don't utilize body strikes in their art? If anything the Muay Thai stance is definitely susceptible to takedowns, but as far as pure striking goes Muay Thai guys are usually like kryptonite for pure boxers that don't have the speed to close distance on a Muay Thai guy. But obviously this is all subjective on each persons skill level.
The line is getting blurry as far as kick boxing / muay thai as a lot of gyms kind of practice a hybrid of both these days with the main differentiating factors being elbows, knees, and clinch, but a Muay Thai guy with proper wrestling / take down defense can absolutely school Kick Boxers too
Look at guys like Petr Yan and Rafael Fiziev
Honestly no point in arguing Kickboxing and Muay Thai because they're similar enough where you should be looking at the strengths of each art and incorporating it into your striking. Like being a Kickboxer and never wanting to utilize Knees or Elbows just seems silly
