who said i don't wanna do anything?
lol how convenient for you and your life view that OP's experience of reality is an "awkward phase in his life where he has to search for meaning".
*how convenient lol
Ur missing the point but ur a troll so it doesn’t matter

folk like you are all up and down this thread challenging OP's worldview but then you turnaround and act like yours is beyond reproach. that's actually hilarious.
the way you think about life and the way OP does have the same weight. both are valid. but sure, go ahead and call me troll, i hope it helps with your cognitive dissonance.

...no they're not lol.
some worldviews are actually justified with reasoning and frivolous argumentation, others not so much, and it's easy to tell who's spent time shaping their views and actually reading about these certain topics, versus people who are pontificating and going with what they feel is right
they're not even remotely as valid as the other worldviews put forward in this thread, and to say it is is faux-egalitarian sophistry

idk if you followed this from where it started, but my whole thing was that value systems can be challenged. i don't personally believe that value systems are a bad thing (they could be idk), but we rely on them to navigate situations and come up with worldviews. take a look at your response to me, it's littered with them lol:
some world views are acutally justified with xyz vs the others that (are not so much).
that's a value system. xyz has been given weight and value, by you (and others before you), to determine that others that do not fit this criteria must have their value taken away.
some arguments are frivolous and other arguments serve a purpose
another.
people who feel something being implied to have a lesser input than the person who has done their reading
again the logic vs emotion debate. you can pick a side there, it doesn't make it not a value system.
those were just examples and i don't wish to get into solving them, just using them to highlight value systems.
value systems can be challenged based on the idea of false binaries.
the idea of false binaries here serves the purpose of establishing that before anything is given value by us as people, it exists first and foremost as an option.
before we say any one worldview is bad or good, it exists as an option, one not inherently higher or lower than the other.
when you say that one worldview has value and that another hasn't, you are agreeing that another worldview exists as a valid option. you're stating that first and foremost these things exist, not as a good thing, or a bad thing, or a neutral thing. just a thing.
if we're using logic here, it's a logical contradiction when you recognize (consciously or otherwise) that value can be given and taken away from things but in the same breath refuse to acknowledge that the options precede the value system *we assigned to them.
It doesn’t
Do whatever you want
Your actions will directly impact how you spend your living time here
But you can literally do whatever the f*** you want to do with your time
Cucked by god imagine being in eternal servitude to another being
SORRY BABE, I ONLY BOTTOM FOR GOD
op is right (throws away pizza) i’m not eating another bite.
i’ll save space on this earth & you can have my space if you want. oh s*** i got some 🍊 tangerines left, gonna have to postpone giving up. brb 😒

im not here questioning about value systems at all, im here questioning and disagreeing with the idea that all value systems are just as valid on the basis of them... being a value system. thats not how it works
never said that a value system predicated on logic v emotion determines whether or not its a value system, i was trying to say that just because you're depressed and feel like the world is out to get you is a s***ty way of basing an entire philosophical and ethical framework out of, which is essentially what OP is doing - what he said in the op is classical enlightened nihilist drivel that you can find on Reddit, i wouldn't have an issue with it personally if it was undergirded by someone like Schopenhauer's ideas and/or a more sophisticated understanding that lends oneself to the aforementioned nihilism and/or pessimism
im not one of the hardcore rationalist and worship of logic types, but i do have a bit of an issue at the attempt of trying to level all value systems as one and in the same off the basis that they're value systems. that doesn't even make sense. yes it's a value system, that's cool, let's engage with the actual content of them and determine which ones are more philosophically tenable over the other ones. pointing out that a thing is a thing doesn't really get us anywhere

hmm, we're gonna get caught up in a loop and i don't think i'm interested in that right now. i'll keep your words in mind.
also i fw your pfp, got hendrix in the same robe on my lock screen
I understand consciousness has its limits, and the meaning of life or God is beyond our understanding. It will be debated until the end of time because the answer is beyond our capabilities, yet we’re seeking an simple explanation we can understand. Its futile.
Instead we must have a little faith and do what we think is worthwhile. What matters to me is my progress as a human being, as well as all black folks.
There is a point, and we’re already living or proving it. Yet we all can do more in improving our world.
