Years ago the UK brought us some of the best bands in the world and the best tracks in music.

Now it just seems like all they have is grime/rap artists that seem like they will forever be stuck in the UK and never become global stars.

A lot of the music there is repetitive and never seems to be able to make that crossover jump to America or other parts of the world. Lots of grime fans also gatekeep their genre but for what? No one cares about a genre of music that will never make it out of East London.

Idk I love UK music in other genres but the rap s*** is mostly boring

i think that the uk drill scene is starting to blow if anything it already has, headie one just dropped his debut album yesterday and everyone listened to it he has a drake and future feature and Kd even posted it on his twitter yesterday

but if we were to ask an American that listens to hip hop what artist they know from the uk they’d prob only say skepta or stormzy
