Morally - do you think its right or wrong?
Most people say its literally stealing
but some say its ok
for example: you at a friends house and you see a book - you ask your friend "dammn thats an interesting book - can I read/take it?" your friends says "yeah man keep it - I have already completed it"
I think it's wrong. I'm also not gonna stop.
what do you usually pirate?
would you say downloading mp3 from youtube is piracy?

Throughout my life, I have mainly pirated music, movies & TV shows. Recently, I've started pirating ebooks (I'm cultured now, do you understand?). Downloading MP3s from YouTube is absolutely piracy.

personally speaking - I think Piracy is not wrong. Its just a case of "dont hate the playa hate the game" type of thing.
Imagine the internet is a highway and you go to a motel that has high priced food - you dont buy it and drive forward - then you find a store that's offerring that same food but for free - so You take it obviously because it makes sense.
I don't have a single music or steaming service, I rarely go to theaters, never bought an album in my life. I have TBs full of s***. Why should I pay for multiple different streaming services (some of which aren't even available or have limited functionality in my country) to not even own what I'm paying for when I can just get it all for free?
Some of it isn’t the best like stealing games from small developers that really need the support
But love it for the most part

The book example is terrible.
You already bought the book, so it’s your property to do what you wish as long as it doesn’t violate copyright. Giving the original material away is fine if it was purchased, making copies of it to give away especially for profit isn’t.
If you bout a cd, you can give it away to someone else, you cross the line when you start copying it and giving away the copies.

What’s your job or career? Nothing too specific but just in general?

interesting - I was just referring to piracy from an individual point of view.
Like the following:
1- If an album releases - is it right to pirate it by downloading the album from youtube by converting it to mp3?

nah u right.
1- Small developers
2- Indie musicians
3- Indie writers
all suffer.
while the big fishes still get to play the game their own way
You wouldn’t steal a car
TBF this a***ogy only really work if you were able to steal the car, while the original stayed in tact. Internet piracy doesn't change ownership from one individual to another, but spreads it from one to many.

Yes it’s wrong to steal. Do people do it yes, everyday. However, if you believe in karma, then don’t be mad when someone steals from you.

You're taking STOLEN FOOD, for FREE? Uhh, HIGHLY problematic..

but here is how it differs from the real world -
In real world: a thing that is stolen means the owner of it cease to own it and now the "thief" has it.
But in internet: s*** is multiplying - If I steal/download some book then nothing really happens to the guy or his thing
Nice try, feds.
im not the feds bro im Just a person who enjoys discussing pretty much everything, with everyone.
great South Park episode
drawing parallels to stealing IRL doesn't work on me I love stealing from corpos and I do it almost every day
