What’s your job or career? Nothing too specific but just in general?
I'm unemployed. Tough for me to find work because I need to do articles for two years which isn't offered at a lot of places, especially in my city. And I don't have much work experience, so I don't really have references. Unemployment rate in my country is also 33%
I'm trying to be an attorney, I need those two years to become one. Also have another degree before my law degree in HR, but I'm not really interested in that
But I think even if I had the money to blow, I wouldn't be using it on streaming. I feel the same way about cologne/fragrances. Like I f*** with them, but I'm not dropping thousands on a bottle when there's reverse engineered fakes that smell the same

learn some code on the side broski
I love it and as an artist I encourage it.
As JLG said there is no such thing as intellectual property.
but here is how it differs from the real world -
In real world: a thing that is stolen means the owner of it cease to own it and now the "thief" has it.
But in internet: s*** is multiplying - If I steal/download some book then nothing really happens to the guy or his thing
Well yeah, something only happens to the people behind the project. Their bottom line gets affected. The average joe is not getting f***ed here. So negligible if we're talking about a big corporation, a bit more unfortunate if we're talking about smaller studios/artists.

I actually did some coding on NetBeans in high school, was close to choosing that as a career before I decided on law I didn't enjoy it, but it may have been because I didn't have a good teacher

is it moral to pay the artist 0.0005 per stream on one of their songs?
unless my money goes directly to the responsible of the art creation, then I won't pay

As Gabe said a lot of it is just a service problem
Nobody pirates music anymore bc it’s so easy to access music now
Obvi there are bad apples that will pirate no matter what but it’s the fault of the companies
I'll go out of my way to support an artist if I can, from books to music.
