Hmm should be higher than 702 at 3 years old
Are the school loans the only credit you have?
nah i’ve got a auto loan and one credit card that i’m paying off
There are so many factors that go into a credit score, but it sounds like you have a low score simply because you're not paying attention to your credit (you don't have any credit cards). If that's true, then it's pretty simple and quick to get it up pretty fast.
Ive had a credit card for 7 years, this was just my first time checking it
I just gotta stop maxing it out and spend my money wisely

Oh...there it is
Y'all gotta learn, credit cards are not free money lmao. Just use it like a debit card and you'll be fine. If you need to pay off a credit card you're doing it wrong, and honestly you're hurting yourself by having one.

Same as I said to the guy above, don't have a credit card if you're spending more money on it than you have in your bank account. It's gonna f*** you over massively.

honestly i just got it to create and build my credit but some things have popped to the point where i need to use but i don’t even touch on a daily basis
😦 Im in the low 700's but i had a secured with a credit limit of $200 so my utilization was what f***ed me i think.
if you dont put anything on the card does that affect your score?
I'm not sure bro, it might depend on where you live and what bank you use. I moved to Canada last year and signed up for Scotiabank and got a credit card with a $1,000 limit. I had absolutely no credit before that. I've been using it regularly since then, but the trick is to pay it off before the balance becomes overdue.
I specifically remember being told this by an advisor. Having a credit card is good for building credit, but never let the balance become overdue, that's how you get f***ed.
Got my first credit card at 18, I'm 20 now and my credit score be a big flex
might get mine now since im 18. you think it's worth it?
700

absolutely, just remember to never spend more than what is in your bank account and don't let balances rollover at the end of the month.

Damn, we all some good ass parents on here

Yes lmao. Just use it right. Calculated moves.
Use it for gas or clothes and pay it off instantly. Anything online and then once it comes in the mail and it’s all good, pay it off. Lots of smart ways to use a credit card.

and the msin advantages are a better credit score?

You get better interest rates and don’t have to pay huge deposits when taking out loans, renting, buying a car, etc.

This all means you save money in the longer run, plus, if you're doing it properly you'll build up a bit in cashback (granted you don't withdraw it immediately) and you're pretty much getting paid 1% (or more depending on the card) to use your credit card slowly.
