what do u think religion and superstition are. the universe is inherently irrational and you can't make 100% sense of everything. trying to constantly recognize patterns where there aren't any is like falling on your own sword lol. human reason is fallible

You can’t have a rainbow without a little rain
Funniest s*** is that I first heard this in the movie Big Daddy with Adam Sandler such a stupid movie but there’s a scene where this woman is talking to the kid and she says it. It just stuck with me ever since a kid. Just funny that some random ass Adam Sandler was the source of a quote that gets me through my day to day.
could you expand on this more? what does it mean to you
Lotus flowers can’t bloom without mud. The dirtier the mud, prettier the flower
Lotus flowers often represent enlightenment, rebirth, life itself, beauty.
You can never bloom, or be like the lotus (for me this is ultimate peace of mind, grace, empathy, happiness) without understanding, embracing and utilizing the mud (suffering) we find ourselves in, in life

great fckn book
ion rly have one single mantra but I do got a commonplace book that I keep a lot of inspiration passages/quotes in
here's a few
"Life rewards action, not intelligence.
Many brilliant people talk themselves out of getting started, and being smart doesn't help very much without the courage to act.
You can't win if you're not in the game."
"Remembering that you've been through difficulties before and have always survived to fight again shifts the conversation in your head. It will allow you to control and manage doubt, and keep you focused on taking each and every step necessary to achieve the task at hand."
"Notice your relationship to time. In particular notice how much your happiness seems to depend on looking forward to things. To meeting your goals, to the next event on the calendar where you expect to have fun, to the drink you'll have with dinner. To anything that isn't right here in this moment.
Now, there's nothing wrong with planning for the future, of course. But this habit of living for the future is pernicious. It's the very posture and practice of dissatisfaction and it robs the present moment of its reality. Which is quite a trick in fact because the present is the only reality.
So whatever the character of your experience at the moment, please take this timeless admonition to heart: do not live for the future"
"At festivals the Spartans put their guests' seats in the shade, but sat themselves down anywhere"
"You are thinking about what you could have been, I am exactly what I should have been"
you don't need to quote reply saying you not gonna read all that you fools
