I know music is subjective at the end of the day but come on man none of Taylor's albums are 3/10 unless you really just don't like her music at all. Of course you can say Reputation or Red is a 3 and you're entitled to that but a lot of people will strongly disagree

After poptimism took hold in mainstream music publications, too many critics over-corrected from the 'Pop is vapid female music' indie rockism of the 2000s to acting like even the most mediocre pop product somehow carries revolutionary potential, Goop on Ya Grinch is always relevant

Pop critics are also way too scared to criticise anything that could be seen as feminist or queer, you have those factors and you're guaranteed a 6.4 from P4k minimum, nobody really tears into terrible/bland pop music anymore, all the reviews sound like they come from the artist's personal friends trying to come up with positive things to say about a pretty bad demo they just played them

disagree she’s shown a lot of growth between her first 2 projects. FN a very good pop album and she seems to be becoming a solid performer as well.
