It's some good R&B artists today when you look for them. But a lot of the ones I see getting hyped up who are most popular have oftentimes been extremely disappointing.

Part of R&B's decline is due to the fact that pretty much all these new artists are mid singers at best. They overshadow their vocals with cool production and creativity rather than trying to improve the most important part of R&B: your voice. There are a few bright stars vocally but s*** really sucks when you want a real talented singer. The era still cool
