it's an acquired taste. my dad told my mom the same about bowie . she couldn't stand his music ughhhh
im scared that I lost a little bit of that acquired taste because his voice somehow grew off me over the years
full revisit coming soon after a long break though hopefully it'll hit hard again
none of his stuff every grabbed me like that
How you listen to everything he did in the ‘70s and still be indifferent?
Thanks for the concern but the site has been getting much more boring to me. I truly don’t see a reason to log on more than once a week.
you're not missing out on anyting tbh. these @Bourbon_Ben threads are the highlights for the music nerds and passionate ones
I think we all agree that Station to Station is his best album
It should be top 3 on anyone’s list but he’s got better
I'll take a leap and say Unknown Pleasures and Closer are the best Joy division albums
I know this is very controversial, don't @ me

they probably didn't
they probably didn't
I understand not liking popular people, but he’s done so much I’m always surprised when real music fans don’t like anything from him
next era we conquer is 71-75
f*** 71 IS STACKED
much prefer the early 70s to late 70s tbh

one thing i can understand is people not really liking his voice much, especially at first

even more controversially I'll say I don't like any of them
1. David Bowie - Low
2. Patti Smith - Easter
3. Kraftwerk - Man Machine
4. Marvin Gaye - Here, My Dear
5. Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
here, my dear is a great pick
What is your favorite bro?
I said earlier ITT that it's hard for me to pick but rn I been loving Diamond Dogs and Scary Monsters, been listening to Lodger a bit
I haven't made it past the 80s very much though, I still got a good chunk of like 1984-2013 that I have to get into
StS is great though
TMWSTW, Hunky Dory, Ziggy & Spiders from mars, all wonderful albums to me as well
