Oh I skipped the word "late"
late 70's had so many post-punk and new waves gems. ben is f***ing up
No Miles Davis? Television?
television is awesome, but i consider them basic because they are stanned to death on rym

Those nerd rats had to ruin it

see my post above to Goo, all that s*** is stanned over there. I'm covered on those fronts
i understand exactly what you're talking about @Bourbon_Ben @Goo I'm so over the typical indie s*** that I see here and on RYM that whenever I see that s*** listed I cringe. I'm not on a quest for ultra obscure stuff like I was a few years but I'm over the circle jerk nonsense. That's why I appreciate the albums and artists @cotton_dockers posts about.
I see what you mean
Those nerd rats had to ruin it
how could nerd rats possibly ruin a masterpiece album like marquee moon?

Torn curtain is the best song on there, prove me wrong

you're gonna get to a point that we're talking about. this is still new to you, i'm assuming, but once you keep hearing about the same s*** over and over you start to become jaded.
one of my favorite jazz-related (its afrobeat ofc) albums came out in late 70s whew. ZOMBIE
Torn curtain is the best song on there, prove me wrong
Ofc you like the darkest song

yeah its still new to me, really? you dont have to be condescending sometimes its not like im some 15 year old music beginner compared to you
im just not one to start dissing an artist based on the fact that ive seen them discussed too much online. rather talk about music instead of acting like fans affect the music and im too cool to listen
Tbh I'm surprised @Bourbon_Ben doesn't love Bad Moon Rising and EVOL
Daft Punk - Discovery
Panic! at the Disco - A Fever…
OutKast - SB/LB
Kanye West - The College Dropout
Usher - Confessions

yeah, not trynna come off as some snob who is above it all and whatnot. you know you and i discover new music in similar ways, so i consider you of the same ilk, but trust me, music nerds go through this from time to time. i won't dismiss something based on the love it's receiving but when you keep seeing the same artists and bands gushed over and over and over a part of you turns the other way. stans ruin it for themselves and others as well.
i still listen to the music btw lol. I just meant its just not considered unknown or unique to me anymore cuz its talk about all the time. It doesn't its overall quality to me or me loving it at all.
Bad Moon Rising is one of the most mysterious pieces of music ever
sister is my fav sonic youth album
