Honestly feel that Gen IV was when Pokemon was at its peak.
It's when all 4 regions felt interconnected at the time.
The past is the past
The games BW , competitive mons ORAS/SM

Old gens prob ADV it's the best by far with the most balanced meta , DPP it's like playing HO vs HO 90% of the time

yeah...cant disagree with that
Emerald was the absolute peak imo. Could be nostalgia though.

could sinnoh be properly remade?
underground would be AMAZING
In terms of what?
The peak was the beginning. When people were actually collecting cards and a Holo Charizard was every kids grail
Pokémon Yellow on GBA... that era

No I started with Red/Blue. Emerald was just the peak in terms of quality and popularity.
The games keep evolving, but as far as the designs of the actual Pokémon, they started becoming way less memorable after 4th generation.
Literally you could show me a slideshow of every Pokémon in order and I’d be able to name every one up to the Diamond/Pearl ones. Even a decent amount of the Black/White ones. X/Y and forward is where it gets blurry even tho there are some standouts. I literally had to Google the Sun and Moon starters yesterday cause I legitimately couldn’t mentally place them for a second.

I think this is key right here.
There's only so much Pokemon you can design before you get redundant or just absurd.
