What do you think it will be called?
    Speculate and place your bets

I’m not too sure myself but I see him hanging it up in maybe 2028 or 2029. I think he might have 12-13 more albums to go before he’s ready to retire from music

  • In his late 40s after accomplishing damn near every record.

Big Scorpion 6: Francisco Mandarin Edition (Deluxe)

    2063

    30+ more albums

  • My bad for editing the title like crazy but this seems like a better question

I think he already has posthumous material ready so it could be decades from now. Long after he passes and when he will finally get his flowers for being the GOAT.

We're just now entering the golden ages so it's a little early for this discussion honestly we should just enjoy the moment and not always look too far ahead or the good times will pass us by

I doubt he will ever hang it up

he will do a Jay-Z pseudo retirement though, and stop caring about being the top dog

Relatively speaking, Drake is still a very young person in music (only in his 30's), so he actually has a lot more albums left in him however long he still wants to continue.

Nah I think the past 10 years have been his golden age and we’re either at the tail end or in a transitional period now but it depends on how his next 2 or so albums go.

Would be cool to see Drake transition back to acting and maybe even venture into different genres of music

  • After For All The Dogs, I'd be happy if he never released another album again

“Who is a goat rapper that you don’t necessarily like?”

caninepapi: Drake. He’s not my favorite rapper or anything but he’s undeniably the goat

he been washed for like nearly a decade quality wise

commercially, he's been washed since Honestly Nevermind. He still gets big songs but they coming and going most of the time.

I'm sure he will continue making dogshit albums with one song that goes top 10 for the next 10 years atleast

    As many as he wants

I hope he drops a smooth soul album in his 40s

At the end of the day it's basically proven that every Drake album is good for a few excellent party songs and being a generally enjoyable record at its worst. Who cares how much/long he keeps dropping as long as this is the end result? Like I and many others make jokes about dude, and I think taking time to regroup will do him good, but we're gonna be fine if dude keeps dropping in perpetuity lol. He's a great artist whether you like it or not

  • Definitely got one more ‘trilogy’ in him, like TC-NWTS-IYRTITL or CLB-HN-HL. After that tho I see him slowing down, at that point he would’ve put out 20 projects over nearly as many years (assuming he drops three projects by 2026).

does mcdonalds ever run out of burgers? theres ur answer

  • Americans have entered the thread.

  • If we're talking about actual good quality albums it depends on him. He's drake he has more then enough resources and money to make a very high quality album. It's really just up to how creative he wants to be and drive at this point

  • He’ll always be good for some basic easily listening songs with some amazing s*** mixed in but I’m not highly anticipating new Drake music at all

I don't know. Maybe my standards are too high but Drake, to me, basically dropped a bunch of bloated playlist albums and streaming bait albums with Scorpion, DLDT, CLB, and FATD in recent years.

Her Loss was good(best Drake project this decade) but it's just a 7.5 quality trap album in the grand scheme of things. HNVM had amazing production and was a good change of pace but had the worst singing vocals in his career(which is a damn shame cause he literally sung better on Her Loss).

I dunno. I just think Drake is capable of better as an artist based on his prime.

Catalog and consistency matters to me more than catchy music.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he only dropped like 2 more but I also wouldn’t be surprised if he dropped like 12

Hes truly in a position where he can do whatever he want, this term is over used but hes one of the best examples of a living legend

  • he’s run thru all the genres/topics so at this point he would either have to go more experimental or just keep rehashing the same sound over and over which he’s been kinda doing anyway. that being said his newer material is better than his older material so at least there’s that ig

I don't see Drake slowing down or retiring anytime soon. He clearly cares about numbers and dominating the rap game and Billboard.

And it's not like Drake is targeted by opps, has d*** issues, baby mama drama, or in and out of jail. He's in a very safe position. Only thing that could stop him is the grooming allegations being true and, even then, that'll be more of a PR battle that he could overcome.

I don't think 09-15 or More Life Drake is coming back though based on FATD though. FATD had a strong promise to it with a concept and "old Drake" nostalgia bait and he totally fumbled it and dropped another playlist album that was all over the place.

But, as long as he has his prime, he's set just like Eminem is set based on his prime. Primes matter more than staying hot forever in hip hop. Just look at 50's Final Lap tour.
