HNM better and top 3 Drake
No arguments from me on this one. Had a nigga dancing cleaning the house.
this would have been great if his vocals didn't suck and again it was sandwiched between two of his traditional releases because he was too insecure to let it stand alone
falling back were the worst his vocals have sounded his whole career
Worse than scorpion side B
FATD was an album dedicated to petty-dissing all the women in his life
its weird and only decipherable if you have a parasocial relationship to him

I'm not gonna call you wrong, but that song like the album itself is a grower imo.
Also some of his best. Win some you lose some. Some people focus too much on the "corny" bars like you a lesbian me too and don't ever mention the gems of which there are a plethora.
No i dont agree
There are multiple bad bars that stuck with me while there are no good ones that did
Not saying its all bad, but thats how bad the bad is this time around

HNVN grew on me but even then if I speak any further Imma sound like a hater

Ok real
Damn this s*** really woke KTT2 up
Kendrick does it every time lol. He moves the culture whether people want to admit it or not.
Personally, I always felt that this was a lazy criticism.
I personally feel Drake's quality and cohesiveness of his albums has been hit or miss in most of his post 2015 albums. Couldn't care much about what he raps about.
Her Loss was pretty derivative in terms of subject matter but it was better than all of Drake's post 2015 albums barring More Life.

Thats the only bad song and it sucks its the intro because it sets bad af impressions and mood from the getgo
Rest flames tho & 2 songs are top 10 Drake ever for me - A Keeper & Massive

Could say he’s been on auto pilot for such a long time that Her Loss was refreshing bc he sounded energized and like he actually gave a s*** about what he was saying
Said it before and I’ll say it again, Drake needs to develop a serious heroin habit before recording any more music. This would be the best possible career move for him.
He would produce a deranged, dark, d***ged out experimental album that would be praised. He’d give grizzly accounts of life and the situations he gets into while being a fiend, and hustling pills on the side to fuel his addiction as people begin to distance themselves from him. Soon it would come out about his addiction and the media would be buzzing. Scandal after scandal would arise and he’d be the most talked about person in the world as he continues down this dark path of addiction and insanity. Then, he would get arrested for possession and do a stint in jail, adding credibility to the hard image he’s been trying to adopt for sometime. The #FreeDrake movement would be like nothing we’ve ever seen before and it would spark an international conversation about how we treat addicts (rehabilitative vs punitive punishment.
Drake would get out, get clean, and become the face of the opiate epidemic sweeping North America, opening him up to even wider audiences and platforms. His first album after release would sell a million first week and be praised, as Drizzy explores a whole new realm of lyrical content reflecting on his past degenerate behavior and becomes a symbol of hope for millions dealing with addiction. This would be great for his image, solidify him as one of the greatest rappers ever, and create worldwide change that benefits millions for years to come.
The best possible thing drake could do for his career is to start doing as much dog food as possible, as soon as possible.

It's not that deep lmao people had these talking points before he ever opened his mouth to talk crazy. Please keep the Kendrick talk out the thread.

This is unironically what people be wanting. They want a nigga to manufacture his own problems so he got something to rap about.

HNVM not bad at all it was a let down to me at first bc I expected a lil more when it came to the house music stuff but definitely an underrated drake album that got turned into a meme bc ppl want fast food
i either want 1 of 2 things (or both) from drake at this point
1. asian drizzy arc (when he was posting all those pics of him in japan) an album recorded over there and the visuals would be fire
2. 10-12 track concise and focused album prod by 40

Even 40 wants number 2
I can't lie if I had Drake bread I would probably go broke f***ing b****es too music is a funny thing in the way it opens your personal life up to so much more criticism than a normal human.
if you would go broke f***ing b****es you shouldn't be allowed to have money in the first place

Yeah man. I agree.
I always found it funny when niggas here claim that MMTBS is "boring" because I personally find CLB boring af save for some songs.
Like I straight up feel narcoleptic listening to that album front to back whereas MMTBS constantly keeps me engaged and focused throughout despite how long it is.
Could just be my taste though. Her Loss sounded engaging and was a well put together album. So, I'll give it props for that albeit I wouldn't quite give it the "C" label yet.

Nothing manufactured about it! Life, in essence, is traumatic and Drake ain't exempt from a good pinning session or two

That's not for you to decide 🗣️
