i would simply swag some other s*** before i consider buying fakes. i don’t NEED that exact shoe and if you feel you do, that says more about your style than it does bout the shoe

Justifying fake clothes is lame as hell, if you can’t afford it find other cool stuff in your budget

There's two sides to this and they're both wrong in a lot of ways. Yes fake flexing and buying reps is a little corny if you're trying to show off and look like you're buying expensive s***, it's corny if the pretense is that you want other people to see you inexpensive/rare s*** but can't afford it. There's nothing wrong with dressing within your budget so you're a little right on that end.
The other side is that caping for people to have to spend a lot on a company that don't give a f*** about us is almost mindless consumerism. If he likes the shapes and silloutes of the design but doesn't want to pay so much, a replica is a genuinely smart way to go about it. The main difference between the 2 is just a brand that upcharges and a little bit of quality but is either enough to justify the price difference. The guy wants to have a solid closet without killing his wallet so he can invest. That's not a bad idea and honestly and it pays off long term.
Now if he's got a bunch of reps of designer s*** where he's clearly just trying to flex out of his tax bracket that's corny as hell but a few replica pieces of some items he likes doesn't hurt you or me lol.

so then buy other s*** there's alternatives or just other pieces that fit the same look or better

half the time it's not even the brands making things expensive. reps got other ethical problems than just being corny and fake.

I don’t lie about my wealth or status. Can’t do fakes, just doesn’t feel right to me. I won’t lose sleep over others wearing them but that entire market has made me second guess everything on Grailed so f*** them & everybody that supports that bs.

im not gatekeeping, im just not insecure enough to feel i need reps

    It is gatekeeping lol.

Notice how if you bring up reps, niggas immediately start making assumptions.

“You’re too broke to buy the real thing”
    “You’re insecure”

You know a good rep still cost the same as a regular shoe more often than not right? That a lot of niggas CAN afford the real thing, and DO buy both Reps and Authentics (which is how you know a rep is good in the first place because you compare it to the actual product lmao)

Only thing is the price isn’t WILDY INFLATED by the unnecessarily limited stock/scalpers.

The irony of niggas thinking rep buyers are the insecure ones.

I know niggas who own companies and live in 3 story houses and still buy Reps.

Feel like the ones who are really insecure are the ones who gotta make sure everyone knows how much they spent on a some clothing lmao

you done writing your lil think piece?

it’s not about the price or the quality, it’s the fact you felt the need to buy a fake shoe because you absolutely need to be seen in that specific shoe. it’s like throwing a lambo body on a Honda Civic, embarrassing

Thanks for proving my f***ing point. (Which is why you ignored that post)

You literally cannot fathom the idea that someone just likes the shoe, no it’s obviously cus they wanna show off right?

Not surprised you thing people should kill themselves for this

If they like a shoe why they buying a fake version of it lol that’s lame

Had this argument about the Kiko x cp company jacket, I know for a fact every rep will not have the same fabric, dye and cut as the authentic one and buying that is lame and disrespectful to the designer. And the quality is not as good hence why they are fakes. Why do people feel the need to have every thing they like? I like lots of things that are too limited or too expensive and I simply do not care and buy something I like as much that I can obtain and swag it harder

Are we really entitled to be able to purchase everything we want/like?

Really corny imo especially if they try to pass it as authentic I mean if they upfront about it being fake imma let em rock and just not associate with them cause that’s corny

Wearing luxury/designer reps is lame. You can’t afford it, then why fake flex.

Wearing rep Jordan’s that’s affordable but easily sold out because of bots, and then resold at inflated prices, is justifying to me.

Plus when reps got to the point where they look exactly like a real pair, I don’t see why anyone would pay resale if their intention is to beat the shoes up anyways.

    You're broke
    You're insecure
You want to flex when you aint got it like that
You want to have everything you like
    You're entitled

You don't have an actual argument that isn't making assumptions.
Also, disrespecting the designer? It's the same company that chooses to limit the quantities and sell shoes through limited releases/apps. Leading to an influx of scalpers. You like getting your sneakers through an unnecessary middleman who's going to inflate the price? Who does?

  • Apr 12, 2021

You got mans over here telling people to kill themselves and another mans over here saying he wont associate with you if you wear reps.

If you take a damn sneaker THAT seriously, maybe you the insecure one

so not insecure, but you buy a fake because you want people to think you have the real item

you trying to spin this type of theft like it's not simply, "i want it, can't afford it, so i'll get a fake"
