Plenty of very good information to be had on the older forums (SuFu, Styleforum, Stylezeitgeist, etc.), as well as textile blogs.

Fashion Theory is a lovely publication, and I can also recommend Caroline Evans' book The Mechanical Smile, which is a deep insight into the roots of fashion as we know it today (a "cultural industry"). Adorned in Dreams by Elizabeth Wilson, Ulrich Lehmann's Tigersprung, Baudrillard and Barthes various musings, and Gilles Lipovetsky's Empire of Fashion all come to mind.

I'm a member of HFT and a few other groups, but I personally don't find them very valuable arenas of discussion or information...

another good podcast I'd recommend is the collector's house. they have talks with nick knight, marine serre, simone rocha, mario sorrenti, tom sachs, etc.

    crazy lineups in general.

showstudio and nowness also have a good archive of fashion content on youtube
