There was an announcement over loudspeakers for teachers to not turn the TV’s on in the class room, I remember getting out of school around 10:30 am. My parents also got married later this day, I was in charge of holding the ring lol

I was in 5th grade. I hadn't heard anything on the way to school (7ish pst), but kids were starting to talk in the morning. My teacher brought out the old TV on wheels and put the news on. I remember one girl in the class was hella crying cuz she had family in New york.

Catholic school & they tbh didn't give af. It wasn't until 2 years later in public school that we acknowledged 9/11 as a school. It was really sad.

I believe I was in the 6th grade and a teacher came into the room and said a plane hit one of the towers. Crazy thing was none us were sent home nor did they put on any TVs. Didn’t really know what was happening until I came home.

4th grade sitting in class. They told the teachers on the intercom not to turn on the TVs in the classrooms. Got picked up early, It was chaos.
