I can't play that game anymore man that ds version traumatized me as a kid, and playing the OG snes versioon last year just convinced me that this game aged like s*** on all aspects, I really despise it 😭
lmao understandable
honestly 4 has held up decently. story goes a bit off the rails towards the end but the DS version especially is pretty good.

4 is f***ing amazing
So I’m seeing 5-8 & 10 are the ones worth playing?
no IX is literally the best one
the remaster has an option to play at 2x speed, just make sure you do that

I’ve seen that while the story is good it’s got the worst gameplay. Seen many people in here say it’s super boring. And does not hold up at all

na bruh they were talking about how slow it is, that’s literally the only detractor. everything else is FF at its best. just play on 2x speed and you’ll be Golden. gameplay is literally just turn based combat and RPG exploration not much to dislike

& moguri mod if you play on PC, and you're set. one of the best ff experiences imo.
is 7 still worth playing loved the remake started playing original but got super bored 10 minutes in I don't know if I can handle the dated graphics pretty much never play old games.

please play 7 if you've played the remake. the graphics are a bit of a hurdle to get past, but once you do that, you're set. took me a bit to get used to em, but they have a certain charm to them. you won't regret it.
i also had issues with the graphics, but honestly found them to be a non-issue. could play on PC and swap models + get high res textures as well.

I want the full experience of story main reason I got motivated to play original. Only other turn based RPG i've played is pokemon so hope the difficulty curve isn't too much

speaking of the difficulty curve: just make sure you are fighting as many grunt enemies as you can and not just skipping over them or you’ll end up underleveled and completely f***ed on some late game boss fights. almost every FF game is like that

yeah, then i'm sure you can overlook em after a certain point. i played with mods on PC because some of those textures look pretty bad and can be kinda hard to tell where you're going, especially early on when you're not used to how it all looks
game is pretty easy. you can break it relatively early on as well. wouldn't stress too much over it, especially when you think about it coming out in 97 and having kids beat it back then

seems like so much work really don't f*** with turn based games I'm just playing for the story. the world and story of ff7 remake was beyond enchanting

If you're playing it on modern consoles you have the option to play with unlimited HP, unlimited limit breaks and unlimited MP. If you just want to enjoy the story, characters and all that, that's your surest bet.

FF7 was my first turn based game besides Pokémon / Mario & Luigi, it’s not bad at all to get used to

it is a bit of work, you might be better off watching a YouTube video of the plot lol
4-12 are all worth a peep.
4 is still good IMO, s*** story but very straightforward and fun gameplay
Only final fantasy game I woild recommend staying the hell away from is final fantasy 4
4 is really good man, I think you meant to say FF2
I’ve only played 7, X, XV and 7 remake. 7 and X certified goats. 7 remake is a flawless masterpiece
7, 8, 9 OG if you play on newer consoles they have modes where you can speed up walking, turn off random encounters, speed up fights, make everyone have Max XP so no grinding etc.
FFX and FFXV too are great

No I meant to say 4, 2 is good when u actually try playing it 😎
