So is it
I dont know I haven't played it I just found that funny. 25$ isnt bad for any triple A game. Clearly its not terrible based on winning game of the years and stuff. So depends on what you looking for right now
Is TLOU2 worth $25
Its worth the full $60 tbh. $25 is a ridiculous steal
I guess I would need to see what stops Ellie from making the same sacrifice this game or how progress goes in saving humanity this game. Cause it makes no sense that he sacrificed humanity to save ellie only to risk losing her forever to a lie then eventually die. Like yes its poetic and cute but sacrificing all of humanity for a few more days with someone just selfish
Its very selfish, but im sure most parents would do the same
I have a homie who is a parent and he said he'd absolutely do that same to save their kid

Like it works while at the same time again I would have to see the developments in the Last of Us 2 that stop Ellie from trying to be the cure again. Is it just because the doctors necessary to do so are dead?
i think this game will have the same fate as the first two mgs games
first one will always be commemorated due to it’s impact in the industry, but years from now we’ll begin to appreciate just how amazing the sequel is once the fanboy rage stops becoming the dominating voice.
although i think the second one is an improvement in every single way, i do believe that they’ll always be seen as neck and neck in terms of quality bc of the nostalgia for the first one
gameplay wise it’s obvious, but imo 2nd ones story was just more impactful and better paced, but it felt more original in my eyes.

Does this game have a horror section like TLOU 1 did? Scared 👀
omg i forgot about the guitar thing too lol yea idk how anyone can objectively see the first one as better. the sequel is damn near perfect
i can barely watch movies more than once but i can revisit tlou2 story multiple times since it’s release. only games i do that for are the mgs games tbh.
naughty dog are always outdoing themselves, but i feel like they’ve outdone the entire industry with this one. in terms of gameplay experience only nintendo will compete and narrative experience, only rockstar. RDR2 is arguably a better story but i feel like what gives TLOU2 the edge is that it’s damn near airtight outside of some sequences in the second half of the game.
1 for me
The little mannerisms between Joel and Ellie in that last conversation hit hard. The hard cut after Ellie’s doubtful reaction was perfect.
The whole situation was unsettling and I enjoy that feeling heavily.

It has plenty of scary/tense segments, and they are perfectly paced throughout the action and slower parts

I mean thematically wise it partially feels redundant but I got to play it in full to speak on that. Like the violence venegance theme worked in one game I have to see how well it works here

Yea man its just something you have to experience to really grasp the emotion that it evokes

You asking these questions as OP and you haven’t even played the game

I think that's the funniest part about this thread
Mans read a story summary of the game but hasnt played it yet
Honestly I think a lot of people online who talk about TLOU2 didn't even play it
Both endings have you emotionally/morally conflicted
I didn't feel conflicted over TLOU1's ending
Still don't
1 had the perfect mic drop ending. It was a perfect way to tie a bow on a heart wrenching story like that
But part 2 when you realize Ellie lost her last connection to Joel because she can no longer play guitar due to her missing fingers, its a giant punch in the chest. And the fact she just leaves the guitar behind and just walks off.....FUCK
Yea im choosing Part 2
F*** I forgot about that
