2 had the worst videogame ending of all time. Literally haven’t played a worse ending ever. Game blew chuncks largely because of this.

Ended up buying it. 30 minutes in and I’m just now getting to the gameplay. It’s literally a movie. Not quite what I anticipated, as the first one kept the cutscenes a bit more brief. Gameplay is actually good though

Gameplay is fine. Story is booty cheeks. Game is just such a downgrade from the first game it’s hard to appreciate the game for me.

Both classic endings, don’t make me choose one over the other

Last of Us 2 waaaay better than 1 in almost every way

Part 2 completely changed the perception of what a game can be from a story, narrative, and pacing standpoint. There is absolutely nothing else like it

And we'll start to see its influence on story driven games in the next few years

Just wait towards the middle i was like this at first due to what happened. But as you get further into the story it get better and better.

The chapter when Tommy shows up

Last of Us 1 has a perfect ending, tlou2 has an almost perfect ending

The Last of Us 2 would have had a way better ending if One of them died . It was such a cop out ending!

But...how...??

Part 1 doesn't have the dodging mechanic. And you can't shoot, craft, or reload while prone or laying on your back.

Not to mention Part 2 letting you hide under cars and letting you shoot from under there.
Everything is just way more fluid and responsive in Part 2

What about part 1 gameplay and combat feels better ?

Why did someone need to die?
They both lost nearly all of their friends and loved ones because of their beef. So many lives lost..Why keep the cycle of violence going?? If Ellie killed Abby then Lev would just come for Ellie, then Tommy would come for Lev...and the cycle repeats.
Them killing each other is not bringing any one back to life or solving anything

The ending to the first game was great. It was a perfect ending that left you like "Wow". One of my favorite endings in a video game.

The ending to the second game felt weird. I thought the part where Ellie was holding JJ on that tractor was gonna be the ending but then the game went on for a couple more hours. The ending to the second game didn't feel like an ending to me... didn't feel whole

I’ll have to disagree with you here. TLOU2 gameplay is crazy polished and the AI is nuts. I can’t wait for factions
