also burn-in isn't just about having static images it's about the static images being there for long periods of time without different things being shown
like if you play the same game everyday for 2 hours but you also watch a few hours of TV your chance of burn-in is low because the pixels are being used for different things
burn-in happens when the panel gets stuck displaying something cause it knows nothing else
I’d go so far as to say burn in really isn’t an issue today. All tvs have different programs to handle this. I’ve had static images for hours and hours on my LG CX which is older now and it never got any burn ins

I do worry about playing COD for hours a day or any game with a HUD tho… hmm

LG is the exception bcus they don’t use QD OLED.
QD’s are more prone to burn-in. That’s why LG rarely has that issue

Thought QD was better than OLED for burn ins. Guess you’ll have to get the G3 then

yeah that's true but LG uses pretty aggressive auto dimming when it sees static images, from my understanding the burn-in has a lot to do with heat also.. if it's getting hot for hours on end it's far more likely
while Samsung wasn't doing that with last years QD-OLED as much
reviews of this years models complain about auto dimming though so maybe Samsung is correcting the issue
but yeah I've legit used a C9 for 4 years as a computer monitor and have no burn-in
webpages up for hours
I do want to upgrade to a QD-OLED though so I'm keeping an eye on the situation

if your doing other stuff besides COD sometimes should be fine
the issue is one static image/HUD
but if you only play COD for months on end it could be a problem
Def between the LG and the Sony. I have both the LG CX and the C1 and love them. If price isn’t a factor Sony is prob better, but LG definitely much better value, and with your situation even more so.
Naaah that pricing is car money
The fact ur debating this hard means u have to get the Sony otherwise u won’t be happy
You might be happy for a few months if u get the other TVs but it won’t last trust
Yup
Bought an LG55NANO 2.5 years ago and still love that thing and even got complimented on it yesterday
I’m ngl i’m starting to consider the LG… seeing the gigantic current price difference, lesser chance of burn-ins and the option to go a bigger size
You really think so broski? 🤔
Yup just seems like you got your eyes set on the Sony. I also love to read and watch a bunch of reviews on stuff before buying but when you already know deep down what you want to go for, the other options probably wont make you as happy

seems like the best option honestly
I wonder if an LG G3 65” at €2200 is the better deal seeing the size increase could make up for the difference in quality
If even my 2.5 year old mid range(?) LG TV is amazing, I cant imagine the level of the new high end ones

I always doubt my gut feeling so this is kinda encouraging to read. Like yea i know the price makes no sense but something is telling me it’s worth the uptick. I’ll only buy Sony if it drops to 2800
Oh yeah im def gonna still keep watching and read reviews

They’’ll have the a95l soon
When it comes u can make your decision
Got my 65inch S95B a while back as it seemed to be the consensus best OLED at the time. Had no complaints, in fact I had to double down and get another one for the bedroom and I'm not really someone who usually has a bedroom TV
Have no experience with the LG and Sony but the Samsung has been stellar so far
A lot of the US film industry uses LG oleds for dailies on set and color correction. Even Tarantino. That says a lot imo.
Damn @op. You gotta respect me getting the whole KTT2 tv community ITT tryna help you make the best choice
