But then all came back in 2012 with Life's Good, most of the beats on that album were great, and I think he had great production ever since including the Kanye produced album imo
By 2012 nas was an old man
Anybody hopping on those Internet Money beats exclusively
Not the worst oat but Tupacs beat selection makes me not miss the 90s at all whereas Biggie/Wu/Outkast beats still make it seem like it was the golden era
Pac had some terrible beats but he also had some great beats. Biggie and OutKast beat selection is timeless though
To be fair, Come and Get Me and the title track off of Nastradamas are insane beats. Streets Disciple is a double disc and I couldn't find a single redeemable beat off that except for Thief's Theme.
Streets disciple is so ass bruh. His worst album by far
On a side note Bobby V had the best beat selection for an RnB act imo
Wow that's a really big claim, what are his best beats?
Streets disciple is so ass bruh. His worst album by far
even counting collab albums?
Em has picked some pretty horrific beats the past decade
Imagine having access to any producer in the game, All willing to give you the best beats they can possibly make
And you go with Alex Da Kid
First time you heard Nas
You probably heard somebody say that I pick bad beats
But I pick bad freaks

since clams casino (props to yams knowing his underground s***)
it went downhill (artsy pop hipster producers)
Most early 2000s nyc rappers beats were pretty bad outside of their radio singles. Albums were literally damn near unlistenable outside of the singles lmao.
50 cents ear for beats is what really set him apart imo. He knew how to pick them.
