For rap in the 2010s it was Drake, Kendrick, Nicki and Cole or Future

Rn it’s Lil Baby, Doja and two other people I guess

Yeah I’d probably swap Gunna out with Doja now that you mention it

Nicki also nearly made the cut but Meek had the edge for me, but it could definitely go either way

The big rap four in the 2000s was unquestionably Em, 50, Wayne and Hov

It can not go either way between these two lol. Nicki is arguably the most influential mainstream rapper of the 2010s and the second highest selling behind Drake

In the 80s, the big four were Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth & Metallica. 1990s saw this shift to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains & Soundgarden. The 2000s had Lil Wayne, Kanye, Eminem and T.I. and the 2010s were dominated by Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J Cole & Meek Mill.

KTT2, who are the current big 4 of the 2020s?

you have to go by Genre. you can't say the 80's were dominated by those bands without acknowledging an artist like Michael Jackson or Lionel Richie or even people like Phil Collins / Genesis. Putting the 2000s in the box of just rap completely ignores how huge Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, and Justin Timberlake were.. to me at this point in life, the idea of a "Big 4" or 3 or whatever is kinda bullshit. but if you're gonna do it, at least separate it by genre

The “big four” of Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth & Metallica was specific to metal btw, so if we’re gonna do it across all genres it looks incredibly different for each decade

Throughout the 80s for example, the top four would have been MJ/Madonna/Elton John/Queen (this is probably a lil controversial but this was the top four of that whole decade)

Crazy how the nigga that in the 2000s made The Blueprint, The Black Album and American Gangster (alongside with numerous great songs and features) is disrespected like this
