8 months ago Biden said "Marijuana damages brain cells" when asked if he supports Marijuana legalization

yes, he's a dumbass and the worst democratic candidate for the marijuana issue. but let's take this issue as an example, because while he says stupid s*** and will not legalize it, he's promised to decriminalize marijuana.

663,367 marijuana arrests in the country in 2018.
that's how many people were affected by marijuana being criminalized. Biden will decriminalize, trump won't.

so on this one issue, voting for Biden over trump could positively impact over half a million people, many of whom are disenfranchised

is that why the Dems withheld the results of various states’, including California’s, primary results to make it seem like Biden was winning on CNN, when in fact, if you look at the results chronologically, Bernie was beating him by far until they started pushing the “Biden is winning” narrative?

or does that not matter to you bc it wasn’t Republicans doing it?

Lol you make it seem like I love Biden or Democrats lmao

    I would rather have Bernie

    Get a clue

    this Joe Biden?

Consider one moment in Biden’s career: In 1989, at the height of punitive anti-drug and mass incarceration politics, Biden, then a senator, went on national television to criticize a plan from President George H.W. Bush to escalate the war on d****. The plan, Biden said, didn’t go far enough.

“Quite frankly, the president’s plan is not tough enough, bold enough, or imaginative enough to meet the crisis at hand,” he said. He called not just for harsher punishments for d*** dealers but to “hold every d*** user accountable.” Bush’s plan, Biden added, “doesn’t include enough police officers to catch the violent thugs, not enough prosecutors to convict them, not enough judges to sentence them, and not enough prison cells to put them away for a long time” — a direct call for more incarceration.

This has been addressed before, by myself and others, in numerous threads. Not interested in doing it again, especially not this late in the election cycle.

Once Joe Biden wins all these liberal “resisters” will go back to acting like the country is perfect, ignoring all the problems in this country and just believing whatever garbage the Democrats put up.

Democrats will stop playing lip service to Black Lives Matter and will continue as they did before the Trump administration. Multiple Democrats have said things in private like "I wouldn't be out here if I didn't need the votes." In regards to BLM.

I just don't see this Liberal utopia some of ya'll act like will happen under Biden

The hilarious logic you just tried using for why you don’t vote is the edgy part

oh you like that dinner a***ogy?

now say it’s 3,000,000 locally and 138,000,000 nationally, voting on a very limited number of candidates and issues selected by people who are already in power (most likely not by election) and want to give up as little of their control as possible. Oh and voting on issues doesn’t have any influence on legislation anyways cause only legislators can write and vote on legislation. You could vote on those legislators, but it’s not like you can really know what they’ll vote on once they’re in office. You could try and go online and read the legislation that’s been voted on previously and try to figure out where a legislator stands on those bills, but at the end of the day it’s hoping at best. And it’s not like you’ll even actually go online and actually read a bill- if you had ever tried you’d know that it’s not written to be easily read. Legislators don’t even read them a lot of the time.

so maybe voting isn’t a way of implementing change at all. Maybe it’s a thinly veiled way of making the average citizen feel accountable and responsible for how the country is being run into the ground by a money-worshipping theocracy.

the amount of voter shaming going on is crazy lol Biden is going to win regardless so how about you go back to bed and prepare for that 4 year sleep you're about to take before a worst Trump takes office instead of voter shaming black people who weren't given a single reason to blindly vote for Biden/Harris.

and if he doesn't win then blame the dems. Not black people and not the 2% radical leftists in america.

Obamas was good too.. how did that turn out?

uphill battle in the second term with republicans in more power

and he gave legitimate reasons. he’s not talking out his ass.

you can’t counter because logic doesn’t support your argument. so you bow out, cowardly.

i’m indifferent on the subject, so i wanted to hear a counter argument besides “your vote matters” (even tho in kentucky, mine doesn’t really change s***) and “people died for your right to vote, so do it” they also died for my right to say f*** that corrupt ass s*** lmao

    idk

No he’s talking out his ass.

Yes for the presidential race, due to the electoral college, sadly your vote might not matter depending on your state. But even that’s a skewed way of looking at it.

But this isn’t just about the presidential race. This is for all positions, including local which your vote absolutely does matter.

Logic doesn’t support my argument lmao? Yeah people been voting for years and years and years with no logic lmao

nah if you wanna talk logic you havent countered anything i said. you've straw-manned my argument, and appealed to authority with yours. direct logical fallacies.

im talking out of my ass but i listed real numbers, and talked about real flaws in the voting system even on a local level. I studied this exact problem for my capstone thesis project senior year.

you dont have to respond to all of that, but have you ever read the actual text of a bill in its entirety and sorted through everything it said? have you ever background checked your legislators to see where they stand on the pieces of legislation you care about? do you follow through once theyre in office to see if they stuck to what they said? have you researched what happens to "issues" after you vote on them?

There's more than just President on the ballot. DA's and sherriffs who are responsible for pressing charges when there's police misconduct are also on the ballot

I understand bro, I’m just letting you kno. They fought for the right, it’s the principle

Some people don’t trust the US political system, others have their reasons it’s just life

why would I take the time to vote for a man who doesn’t have my best interest? you voteps should’ve been demanding s*** from Biden/Kamala long before the election but instead you chose to blindly support them and voter shame anybody who doesn’t feel motivated to support two corrupt hacks who’ve done more damage to the black community than Trump has in his entire presidency.

you just can’t fault people for not wanting to participate in a broken system that was bestowed upon them
at birth. this s*** sucks, no one should be shamed for not wanting to give our limited amount of energy to this system with how little it seems to matter. it’s a per case basis i understand. but i just don’t feel my vote will have any effect at all
