Just realized I stopped searching for new artists n s*** now(which is sad b/c I genuinely love dis rap s***) . I can’t help but feel like this s*** just took a nosedive as a whole. Most rappers now don’t give a f*** about the art form, culture, or making a quality project. No one cares about making a classic. they just care about the numbers,gimmicks, anything they can do to go viral.

On top of that, niggas rap over the same type beats, got the same flow. It’s just exhausting.

I've been diving back to older albums and getting into deep discogs of artists I've only listened to casually. I don't really have the time and energy to trial and error new artists

no s*** there are still talented artists out there. there are rap artists for every type of taste. the issue is with the nucleus of the culture, whats popping in the center of it is just wrong. im not tryna listen to only struggle rappers, thats just a part of it. but majority of what i wanna listen to are the dudes at the top of the game, and they suck right now

Lil Yachty was the final nail in the coffin in my opinion. He made s*** amateur sounding music and being a corporate sellout cool, it's been all downhill from there.
