Tonight our neighbors had us over for a little soirée and they are a little more comfortable in English but still since my wife and I really need to learn French we spent most of the time speaking in French. Of course it was patchy and not very good, with lots of mispronunciation and incorrect tense usage but they understood us and we spent five hours talking and talking.
