Those saying Donda, have you ever gotten through the album in one sitting? How many times? I like a lot of the songs but it’s too long for me to say it’s a better album, once I get to Jesus Lord it’s over I’m sleep

    like 50+ times

Off The Grid not blowing anything on call me out the water bro bro 😂

idk man Fivio's verse on OTG is just too hype for me to compare to any moments on Call Me

I guess the closest would be SAFARI and the features on JUGGERNAUT and even then it's super close

yeah i have a few times, but why do you have to listen to a whole album in one sitting anyway? i listened to it more breaking up into chunks/different sittings

i dont think an album being really long and less conducive to listening in one sitting is worse, there have been some really great albums in the past that are just super long and dont seem to be listened to all at once every time

Has enough time even passed where that’s possible? I would’ve thought even if you played it on loop from release day you’d only be on like your 20th listen right now. An absolute chore to get through but I guess you got good attention span

    The passport lookin' thick
    the afro need a pick
My skin soak up the sun ain't shakin' hands with you bums
Bunny Hopper, the new car doors, they lift open
The lake water, dry off at the French Open
I rub it in these niggas' faces like thick lotion
That big B is in motion
The coral peach cobbler dude spit like a llama do :pog:
Used to be reckless, you should see what them commas do
New le FLEUR* season, summer time, look like private school
Keep it low, don't want that s*** to blow like Osama shoe
I'm a true connoisseur, hotel concierge

SAFARI slaps tho. “The garage look like a looney bin. What coupe he in? Depends on the fit and type of mood he in.”

You’re not wrong but idk, if I can’t make it through an album I have a hard time putting it on the same level as albums of comparable quality that I can make it through. It’s not as satisfying of an album experience imo, some albums are like that but regardless of length it should be able to hold my attention, I find it easier to get through All Eyez On Me or Songs in the Key of Life or The White Album than Donda. When Jesus Lord comes on I want to cry

It’s honestly just the placement and length of Jesus Lord that kills it for me

I hate to give a boring take but I loved them both more or less equally. Tyler had a more consistently good project but Ye brought higher highs and a stronger thematic core.

I found splitting albums like those by side a and side b make for a better listen. But donda is just one project so listening through all the way even up to no child left behind can be exhausting
