    scumbag

kodak black’s recurring role on the record definitely sparked some controversy, as did auntie diaries

yea but do u think he made it like that w/ the goal 2 be controversial or is it ppl just being reactionary

  • Nov 5, 2022

i'm far more willing 2 say the latter

    Easily?

Kendrick s*** was very boring to me production wise,

Honestly, probably Kendrick, but Her Loss clears MMBS very very easily

I love Her Loss but there’s no way you actually believe this

they gonna say auntie diaries but they're wrong 4 that

well it certainly did spark controversy , there’s no doubt about that. lot of people, particularly twitter, were pretty salty about the deadnaming and misgendering (regardless of the song’s intended narrative and context) and they were labelling kendrick a homophobe for like a month

    morale>honestly nvm>her loss
No bad albums here. Kdot tour was nuts.

No disrespect, but I genuinely don’t know what you hear in that Kendrick album.
It’s not trash because it had some interesting ideas executed well, but sonically there is very little to chew on and keep me occupied.
Her Loss is much less ambitious, but it executes so so f***ing well on what it’s trying to be and is entertaining to listen to

Drake dropped two good projects while Kendrick dropped some forgettable mid. Heart Pt 5 was dope as f*** tho and the tour looks cool so his year wasn’t a complete L honestly

  • kendrick album got dethroned by the drake s***
    two classics tho

Extremely varied and interesting production, introspective bars that just so happen to be Kendrick’s most vulnerable in his entire career, and a cohesive theme/structure. What more can you ask for? I’m not saying his album was perfect, but from a general standpoint it was better than Drake’s. Once again, this is coming from someone who loved every track on Her Loss

Kendrick cause he dropped dope music without having to be controversial.

if only you still had the dababy avi

You can feel that way, but after a couple attempts at liking it, it’s just not for me

Fair. Music is all subjective anyways

Idk I'm kind of tired of people comparing the two. Drake is the biggest crossover we have. But it's f***ing daft to pretend he's making music at the same level as a lot of his contemporaries. He raps about Instagram hoes

  • Better album? Kendrick’s clears both Drakes projects & his tour was successful

Better year? Drake was consistent & active this whole year for the most part

I think both had a fantastic year

    drake was allowed to experiment

kendrick released a great album topped off by an amazing tour

    numbers dont matter

and all albums were quality :)

  • Rather listen to circo loco then auntie diaries

  • Nov 5, 2022

Her Loss was a solid rap album with great production. After a couple listens, im already moving on from it. Surface level music, which isnt a bad thing. Just doesnt captivate me much

HN was a good experiment for Drake but his vocal performance was average and once again the production carried for me

Morale covers so many topics in a honest and vulnerable matter, with varied and eclectic production. Im still catching little things like every other Kendrick album. His live performance during the tour has elevated him to an elite status. Seeing him tomorrow and i cant f***ing wait

considering kendrick dropped the best album of the decade i'm gonna say kendrick
