I can’t help but think Kanye would be perfect for something like this. But we all know why he isn’t

Imagine 2006-2007 Kanye saying George Bush doesn’t care about black people

Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the cacs attacked. Only the Kanye, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished.

I can’t help but think how Pac would be protesting if he was still alive

Do we have that presence in the rap community?

And I mean strong vocal presence

I know J Cole and Wale was at protest and I’m sure many other rappers have been. I know Drake and Weekend and others have donated large sums of money. But do we have a strong vocal presence that’s talking to the media making demands for our people?

If not then we need that

No one because Tupac is dead and was his own singular person who did what he did for a multitude of reasons

    WE NEED THIS!

Yes I respect that guys like Cole and Hov and Kendrick do they s*** in a more quiet matter and their work helps

But we need that strong voice that is going to let people know we got this Because it goes a long way

That’s the spirit Tupac use to bring

No we don't we need actual black leaders not celebs

We have black leaders. And realize multiple leaders can exist

We had one in the NFL with Kap

We need one in the music world too.

  • If Kendrick spoke out it would be him.

Other then that we dont have anyone

No we don't and they can but they dont.

Kap is a symbol but he didn't move any change in the NFL he didn't even get his job back and ultimately he just garnered attention and some backlash which is nice but as shown by our current reality we need action.

No we don't we need a real leader and real black leaders like the Panthers,X,King and Davis.

Actual everyday citizens and scholars dedicated to the cause and organizing plus standing before world leaders for us.

Malcolm X himself would disagree with your thread

I don't agree with the people he slandered or that all celebs are puppets but I agree we shouldn't be focused on them as leaders.

tupac was pre-internet so it's never gonna be the same

individuals are the ones speaking up and talking about the cause because now everyone has the voice to. i doubt we'll ever have a centralized leader because we don't receive information in the same way we used to.
