No we don't and they can but they dont.

Kap is a symbol but he didn't move any change in the NFL he didn't even get his job back and ultimately he just garnered attention and some backlash which is nice but as shown by our current reality we need action.

No we don't we need a real leader and real black leaders like the Panthers,X,King and Davis.

Actual everyday citizens and scholars dedicated to the cause and organizing plus standing before world leaders for us.

Malcolm X himself would disagree with your thread

I don't agree with the people he slandered or that all celebs are puppets but I agree we shouldn't be focused on them as leaders.

Well obviously ima agree with you there but c’mon saying “there will never be another Tupac” is the same as saying “there will never be another Malcolm or MLK”

  • ferris

tupac was pre-internet so it's never gonna be the same

individuals are the ones speaking up and talking about the cause because now everyone has the voice to. i doubt we'll ever have a centralized leader because we don't receive information in the same way we used to.

But think about it this way. How do we receive information? Social media

Would people rather read A long post or watch a video? Watch a video

That is why we need vocal leaders. Typing online is cool and appreciated. But we need vocal leaders

Looking at Pac interviews all throughout his life, bro was really one of a kind. Every interview you saw his passion on issues that provoked his heart. He hardly, if ever, stuttered or took time to think about an answer; he always had one, and a detailed one too. From topics concerning his impressions on the youth, his perception in the media versus who he really was, his beefs with the East Coast, etc.

Pac was a captivating speaker and personality. Dude could've been wrong or incorrect about something he was saying but he said it with such purpose and fervor that the validity of what he was saying didn't matter; he made you believe him.

And I don't think Pac would be just protesting, but he would be leading the charge in LA. I don't think there's anybody like that right now. Not one person. However, I see aspects of Pac in many different rappers, from his personality and appearance and mannerisms to his music content and politics.

  • Kendrick's the closest, but there ain't one.

Like I love Kanye for his individuality and not following the masses. But bruh how you call Bush racist but not Trump?

He probably thinks Bush was the equivalent to MLK at this point.
