Just had a huge epiphany - what the hell is the point of this? Kids don’t know or even care I’m assuming about the legacy of pharrel. When’s the last time he’s even had a real hit? Happy? The kids who were of age when happy come out have now rightfully moved on to lazerdim. I’m so confused. Did he just want to do his own robot chicken? Thanks
So Universal doesn't lose the rights to Lego that they got in 2020 (for 5 years) and never did anything with until this movie
So they let whoever had a semblance of an idea run with it

Wow thats pretty interesting actually. Of all things to use it on and it perfectly matches Pharrell’s brand lol
Need Ye stop motion Robocop Robot Chicken one next
Also this s*** looks like an animated documentary from what I saw which is a lame way to do this. I thought they were gonna fully commit to doing a narrative animated pixar type film
It has lego pusha T d*** dealing and pushing bricks. The movie is for the kids
wouldnt be suprised if og idea was ye but then they had to switch to pharell before production really started

The deal is up next year and this being the only product of that deal is insane
I wonder if they thought this would do well enough to let Lego extend that contract before they went looking elsewhere or going back to WB.
I also just feel theatrically the Lego movies are past it's time. It was cool for the first one and Lego Batman but I don't remember the other ones making any noise.
Like I saw more things on my Twitter about this f***ing Lego Marvel Disney+ special that got put out than this movie
And this is a movie I was and still am excited to see.
It’s not a kids movie bruh lol. It is a regular biopic that he wanted done differently cause he’s different from everyone else, so legos. That’s it. Not that deep lmfao

Perfect sense
You ever cut on some Neptunes while playing with legos?
Probably not. Nevermind.

Safely zero chance of that, the original idea was “Pharrell made us a trillion dollars writing Happy for Despicable Me 2. Since we have the rights to Lego, maybe he’ll do that again, and we can offer him a vanity project”

You do this now and you’re 26 too
