I wonder if they thought this would do well enough to let Lego extend that contract before they went looking elsewhere or going back to WB.
I also just feel theatrically the Lego movies are past it's time. It was cool for the first one and Lego Batman but I don't remember the other ones making any noise.
Like I saw more things on my Twitter about this f***ing Lego Marvel Disney+ special that got put out than this movie
And this is a movie I was and still am excited to see.
There’s nowhere to really take the movies next after those two
They tried Ninjago but who really gives a s*** about their own brands that isn’t a child or a crazy collector
Lego Movie 2 could’ve been cool but it came out so far after and just wasn’t very interesting
