not anti-hospital, but corporate hospitals have taken over. dont really see too many small, local hospitals anymore. a lot of hospitals went under the metro health, university hospitals etc. corporate umbrella.

my mother had nerve damage in her leg and was in so much pain she was crying. took her to the ER and they didn't even want to give her any pain killers and meds that were strong enough to make her feel better. they gave her some weak s***. they dont care about making you feel better and trying to give you peace of mind, its a business and they're just trying to get you out the door ASAP

then we got the ER bill and it was from some third party company. a lot of these metro health and university hospital locations outsource their ER care to outside companies to save money and cut down on costs. so you're getting crappier care and service from some third party company where they pay the workers less, and those workers are probably more likely to be less motivated to provide quality health care.

90% of the time its all greed and about making money.

black people especially black women have every right to be scared of hospitals.

While there was a period of time where Doctors over prescribed opioids, it was connotated with the fact opioids work really f***ing well to mitigate the sensation of pain.

No one is giving you random s*** just because you want it.

Physicians prescribing opioids en masse was bad because it lead to addiction. However opioids are a weaker version of the endorphins naturally released to dull pain. The issue wasn't solely prescribing them you goofy, the issue was prescribing a f***load because you didn't want your patient suffering from chronic back pain to be hurting 30 times a week.

What your goofy ass is asking for is a "pill mill" where doctors will literally prescribe you anything you want for a payment. "Need something and won't give it to you", the f***. If you know what s*** you need then why did you come to a clinic.
