And they all had that sorta predatory mechanic where you get x amount of lives/energy until the next day, so you had to check routinely. I think MS may have had games but it wasn’t anywhere close

Essentially. Facebook capitalized on minimalism in a time where it was ironically niche at the time. That and there was some mismanagement on the part of MySpace. Fun fact Zuck took fb to MySpace to buy it but they declined
