To be honest the deep voice thing sounds like a whole different artist it going tot ake awhile to getnuse to bdjde rnrbtt the end its stidnf tnt tand you jsjs it
just like how i had to get used to the baby voice on die lit i thought i had a bad download at first
fr my cousin is a good hs basketball player in germany dude is like 6’5 but they learn every position and how to think in their shoes so you can make plays for each other. dudes here just hoop on some lou will type s*** nothing against him but you get what i’m saying. there’s so much ego and me ball and it’s like fam i have a job and family i care about i just wanna play a solid game but someone tried to clothesline me while i was going for a lay up bc the game was and he goes “next time i wont miss” another time a dude was on the court fresh out of jail and fought a guy on some “im not afraid to go back to jail” s*** because of a 50/50 out of bounds call. im from the suburbs im not built for this
in short yeah europeans have it figured out and have way more respect for the game
yea fr we cooked in terms of ball over here, we not gonna feel it till these next couple of draft classes is 1st round all euro 2nd round all lightskin aau
The rage sound is like a lesser version of s*** that was popping in the underground in 2018 lol. Better synths, s***tier rhythms and way worse vocals
some of it is fire and an evolution for the genre but a lot of it is really tacky imo
Yeat sucks btw
Carti and Lancey are great though
I actually like all of Carti’s projects up to this point
Cool to see him do something which sounds more minimal and “traditional” in Atlanta trap music
because too many people copied him so he deliberately changed his style
S/T and Die Lit era spawned the dreads/Supreme/Jordan 1/Pierre Bourne type beat wave that a lot of people ran with
then he disappeared for years and reinvented himself with WLR, which created the rage beat wave, Yeat, Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, etc
he disappeared again, changed his beats, flow, bars, etc and came back with what he’s doing now
Rocky tried riding the S/T Die Lit wave after Yams died and Carti realized it and cut him off
Carti addressed this in his 2019 Fader article:
These days, Carti says, he talks to the same three or four people every day; other than that, he’s fine spending time by himself. Part of that comes down to the way he seems to rub off on people. “I don’t need no niggas around me,” he says. “I be inspiring niggas too much and they be taking from me. It’s only halfway. I don’t win.”

How do we know he’s actually talking about Rocky? I assume the main issue they have, if they even have one, has to do with Iggy
“deep fried trap beats” is actually a pretty solid way to put it
i actually like this s*** but it’s a little cartoonish
nothing cartoonish u both just don't get. it
these deep fried 808s is the new crunchy power chords, theyre such a distinct sound that make up a bulk of the low and mids of the track, establishes the rhythm rhytmn, when it works it works and will always be classic (smells like teen spirit riff) but when it doesnt it just feels so instantly dated to a specific time and aesthetic that its hard to take seriously
yeah i was just thinking to myself the other day about how much the synths mimic an electric guitar in a sense, however i didn’t connect the 808s with power chords, that’s actually a really apt comparison
i wonder how much of this music will be looked back upon fondly after Carti has his run and the wave kinda dies down, you mentioning how much some of that grunge music sounds like a product of its era reminds me of the criticism i hear about Pablo Honey or The Bends
It makes me wonder what these people would think about radioheads career 1997-2010 lmao its like the exact same regular complaints and misunderstandings somehow are similar
carti is thom yorke reincarnated confirmed
people said Thom had no substance back then?
that’s crazy as hell, he’s probably one of the best songwriters ever lol

Sure you did
this site really exposes who gets women and who doesn’t
If there’s one thing this site definitely doesn’t do, it’s this
Niggas equating listening to 2016 Carti leaks with the ability to attract women, we have lost the plot
nobody has time to be shifting mp3 files and jumping thru every leak site like its 2011
ill leave it to yall Reddit boys
these kids were in 2nd grade in 2011 that’s why lol
their prime era of music is uzi, carti, and juice world bro. that’s why every response here is the same “you’re washed” bs because all these kids have no idea how to have a genuine conversation anymore. it’s so sad
his musical evolution is the most overblown thing about him none of his music is that different from the rest, like his style is the main thing where he’s changed a lot , niggas saying he’s doing old school Atlanta s***, call me when a nigga starts rapping like dro or shawty lo or even oj …I would quite like that actually
