just don’t buy it lmao
Or does that not fit in with your consumer tendencies
My post was sarcastic, go make dumb assumptions about someone else
it's not that deep, F&S stance on reps is that we don't f*** with them. It's a culture thing. Reddit is a few keystrokes away tho.
we have this same thread every week now with the same people and same replies, why bother
Why buy reps when you can learn how to make the s*** you can’t afford? Sewing is a valuable skill and the Internet can teach you.

lol
the real reason why ktt hates reps is because of hypebeasts.
fakes were never an option even before the hypebeast era.
fakes were never an option even before the hypebeast era.
they were during the bbc / bape era. niggas were way too broke to afford the real ones.
See this generation is all f***ed up y’all rather get reps and mids instead of the Jordan 1 you actually want. If you really want the shoe get a job or hustle and save up. That’s like broke motherfuckers buying a Kia or Hyundai because they look like a Mercedes. Getting the s*** you want instead of finding a fake/cheap alternative will build up your character and work ethic

Lmao it’s the same exact shoe. S*** ain’t an alternative
All of you that are so anti reps, wouldn’t even be able tell the difference between real and rep pair irl
So who cares who wears what at this point then?
Cause reps dumb, lock this thread too go back to reddit
what that got to do with how reps are affecting the market and resell culture? I personally wouldn’t buy reps/UA’s but it’s becoming prelevant due to a reason
I don't wear reps but lowkey I hope they take over and kill resale markets.
When I had the most shoes I was anti rep hard but I think psychological since I paid more or at least retail for them I felt like reps were taking away from what I had to an extent and that it was unfair and I think that's the general mentality people have when they're anti rep. Ultimately reps don't do anything bad for you, you still own the real pair but it's a weird sense of not wanting people to have what you have. It's a driving factor in a lot of shoes and the market in general
A lot of sneakers you see are fakes too and nobody knows. Ain't no way every just owns 2015 Chicago's and all those exclusive colors. I've legit seen fakes showcased on the SNKRS app, nobody can really tell unless you hold em in your hand with the good fakes.
This is what i don’t understand
why are you mad at rep buyers and not resellers? Cause and effect is a simple principle to understand
If such was the case we would've witnessed it with the dozens and dozens of 'it' sneakers that have been endlessly hyped and infinitely replicated during the last five years. It just isn't the reality.
The reason is because the market of people buying fakes and the people willing to pay those ridiculously high resale prices are completely separate. Let's not kid ourselves here. The reason people buy fakes is not because they are against the resale market, it's because they don't have the money to meet it. There are more than enough people with enough disposable income who do though. That's because the companies make the releases arbitrarily limited.
Buying fakes doesn't change the mind of the rich (as I stated before, fakes being around just adds more 'exclusivity' to the original releases and its 'authenticity' becomes another selling point, so you might just entice them more), and you're not changing the minds of the companies because they sold out and are happy as ever.
The only reason I can see fakes hitting the resale is when a shoe gets replicated to such a point that it is almost universally agreed upon that the entire shoe has become corny. We kinda saw that with the Yeezy 350s (although there are more factors that play in). And if you're someone that buys fakes 'because you like the design' (I don't believe this, but let's use it for arguments sake) I doubt you want a shoe you like being seen as a joke, no matter how old or 'don't care what other people think' kinda attitude you have.
We can agree to disagree, that's fine, but I have yet to witness fakes' benevolent effect on the industry that I was promised 5 years ago.

It’s just the stigma. And most of them hear “reps” and think of $25 flea market ass shoes.
Reps are better quality than retail shoes now cause Nike QC is ass lol..... when you buy reps the seller sends you pictures of your shoes before they ship them.... so if you see a glue stain or some crooked stitching, you can be like “nah get me a different pair those are messed up” and the seller will come back a day or 2 later with pictures of a new pair and won’t ship until you confirm that you’re happy with that pair.
And people got the thinking f***ed up.... you think I WANNA buy reps?? A rep pair of Jordan 1’s cost like $150 shipped. That’s almost the same damn price as a retail pair. I don’t live in a city. There’s no in-store raffles for me to enter. I’ve NEVER won a Nike SNKRS draw. I’ve only ever gotten 1 pair of hyped shoes from SNKRS that wasn’t an “easy cop” and that was the Gold Toe 1’s like 2 years ago.
So it’s just like f*** me I guess? I don’t get to enjoy this community and these shoes unless I give $800 to some 16 year old with a $2,000 bot for a pair of shoes that cost $175???
F***. THAT.
Virgil said he got no problem with reps. When your s*** get repped that’s when you know you made it.
You would have a point if you were talking about a small start up company. Imagine caring about giving your money to these billion dollar businesses.
every fashion YouTuber’s brand is now repped so there are your small brands

Lmaooooo that’s total bullshit dude. You literally gotta be like 17 or something to seriously think like that.
You know how many shoes I’ve paid resale for???? I’ve dropped $1,000 for a pair of Off-White’s before.
I’m not worried about being called out. I’m not wearing them to brag about how much I spent on them. Literally the only person that has any clue if your shoes are fake or real is you. So why the f*** would you spend $1,000 when you can get the EXACT same thing for $160 lmao?
And you’re seriously dumb if you think reps have any EFFECT on the resale market. Reps didn’t even get really popular until the past year or so. The resale market was around a lot longer than that lol.
Yall rlly doing hours of research and waiting months for shipping just to wear a flavor of the month sneaker that no one will care about in 3 weeks
Months for shipping? At least know what you’re talking about if you’re gonna
