my favorite part of this thread is where all the pro-rep people act like they got personally insulted and start slinging insults when someone says reps are bad

I never f***ed with reps either. Never in my life would I thought I would. I’ve spent thousands upon thousands on shoes for resale price. And I don’t say that to brag or validate myself, I’m embarrassed I did that s***. Spending $800 for a pair of shoes that I’m scared to wear cause I don’t wanna scuff them up or get them dirty. Dumb as f***. Then I came across reps and bought my first pair and realized these aren’t the $25 Canal St Specials that you think of when you think of fake shoes. These are the same damn shoe with the same materials, built the same way, same type of factories and workers. And I’ll never pay resale again.

Because the first thing any sane person does when buying anything on Grailed is double check if there’s reps of them. That’s what the market has come to. I bought a $900 kiko sweater that turned out to be fake, I didn’t even know they made reps of that lmao.

Got refunded thankfully but point is, you now have scums who sell fake shoes as real for the market price. That’s an entire different conversation of the negativity that’s caused by reps.

Right and the people who are seriously into reps HATE people who resell reps as real. They make all of us look like scumbags and give reps a bad name.

I don’t buy rep clothes very much. I don’t follow small fashion brands like that at all. I’m gonna assume people aren’t using bots to cop those kind of clothes and resell them.

When it comes to shoes, yeah Nike aren’t making dunks with the highest quality leather so yeah. However, I could’ve gotten Rick Owens dunks repped but I wanted the quality and high end italian leather so I decided to purchase that. Simple as that for me. If I want quality I’m buying retail. If I want beaters, I’d probably cop them used on Grailed or something. You do you though.
