Imma be real im checkin for new Keed more than im checkin for Thug 🤷🏿♂️ he just growing and growing while Thug still in that SMF bag unfortunately

yeah maybe now but comparing the best version of keed to prime thug or even Jeffrey thug is laughable.
He was having a lot of trouble with sales so I think he wanted a hit album
Also Gunna and Lil Baby success inspired him to play around with that style more
Barter 6 got like 16k despite KTT1 hype
His delivery is more like future’s nowadays what are you talking about?
that’s interpolation, it’s not like he’s tryna sound like future

Gold now
Will end up selling way more and will be studied years later
That boy Jeffrey Lamar Williams is personification of goat in human flesh
I believe Future helped with the flows and songwriting for SMF, he’s a proven songwriter/hit maker and thug and/or his team wanted a more accessible sound
Ik what u mean though op, I think he still got it
He has flashes of the old thugger sound like on this

Not vocally, they both have distinct voices that’s hard to emulate.
But listen to The WIZRD and So Much Fun and they are more similar than different flow/delivery wise

hes been inconsistent his entire career. he tried to do different things later on and it didn't work. Stans got complacent and accepted mid. Budget can play a factor as well. Punk might be dope tho

For me this was the tip off that future helped on SMF, I think thug used a reference track from future and future ended up using the same one for his album. I don’t think it’s a case of Thug interpolating that song I think it was a demo that made its way to both albums. Future definitely wrote P**** too
Been playing a lot of Thugger recently, flipping between the Slime Seasons and So Much Fun
There’s a noticeable change in his delivery from about 2017-present. It went from a spiked up late 2000s Wayne delivery to a more Future-esque delivery on So Much Fun
Now I know commercial appeal played a part but that really wasn’t the reason Thug wasn’t selling. It was mainly from lack of effort in promotion.
I hear that old Thug sound in Lil Keed but it don’t hit the same because it’s only one Thugger
I think he's just at a point where he feels like he made his mark in that lane. That wild Thugger sound is cool and all but I'm sure he gets tired of doing the same s*** at all the time. and on top of that he's putting in a lot of work for his YSL artists and hopefully create artists that will flourish when he makes his exit on the artist side.

what was mid? anything after 2017 i agree but bro dropped tape after tape of gold.
i was mad confused cause I hear literally nothing similar
Neither do i it sounds like textbook smf thug
Damn his music is so much worse now
i dont hear it at all
That’s a very weird song with him flowing and rapping over a pretty weird beat. It just sound like something he woulda did on slime season 1

He was inconsistent from b6-jeffrey. Some of them tapes didnt always hit. He flooded the market and it worked for getting a core fanbase (i guess) but it really didnt work towards growth
