Good question

I'm pretty negative so I criticize a lot of things. A lot of art is being criticized.

I agree we should just let it be and like whatever we like and don't listen to whatever we don't like.

However when you listen to a lot of music you develop taste and critical thinking, when you discuss music you also critique it.

Nas is a man of substance and he was blessed with the ability to talk about social issues in a palatable way without being corny.

But I think the type of album I described should come from a young artist to make a real impact.

They're still on Ye's ass to this day. Em is washed and they moved on from Wayne to Drake. You wasn't there when Wayne wore skinny jeans and niggas said hip-hop is dead

i usually avoid critics, industry talk and politics, so....

i also rarely criticize music and praise everything i hear like my name is jon denton

i've found that my life has become more positive as i have made a conscious effort to stop criticizing

Because your logic is flawed, you seem to think the gatekeepers championed them and got what they wanted. We know they each fought tooth and nail to succeed by themselves before the labels reluctantly accepted them
