you are saying that the Bible is not original and that it has changed millions of times, i am requesting you to link me a source, that says this

you saying "the bible is a compilation of annotated oral stories that were compiled 700+ years" (and mind you, lots of religions are exactly like this, so i don't even know why you're levying this issue with just Christianity in particular, pretty shallow and disingenuous argument) is literally not moving this conversation anywhere

The Bible is a random assortment of stories pretty much untraceable in origin. (Bible meaning the present day order and presentation in form of Christianity’s scriptures).

It’s been altered, change, and in unison has never been codified and kept the same from beginning to end

Copies from the Quran from the 8th century have been DNA tested and the book has been confirmed by experts to have been exactly the same since it’s inception to the present

Just on that surface level, islam has a higher merit

im well aware, that's completely different from saying the Bible is somehow not the original word of God though, errors are liable when something is constantly translated and spread

he's acting like someone came along took some manuscripts out and made some s*** up and put it in the Bible and passed it off as the word of God, this flies in the face of a s*** ton of actual theologians, historians and archaeologists - he would've been better off talking about the possible books that were lost or didn't even make the Bible period, not questioning the historical veracity of it of all things

I need to give a historical context in summary with a scholarly literature to explain to you that a bunch of short stories that were mostly taught orally have been altered in context and sequence and form of complications?

This is before even getting into the issue of translation from language to language especially when we’re talking about Aramaic which has no direct translations to many of the major languages in which the Bible was disseminated. We’re talking about the Bible modern form, and it’s very clearly obvious that a document compiled in its complete form, 700+ years after the death of the last primary sources of those stories, is problematic.

Look at ancient manuscripts of Assyrian Orthodox Church versus Ethiopian versus Eastern Catholic versus Greek. Through translation after translation there’s been significant differences between different orthodox versions.

The entire original point of my post is a draw contrast between the main primary source to holy book pathways of Islam versus Christianity, where Islam is clearly a more sound system of faith when basing it on the validity of its holy book. There are clear forms of evidence showing the dictation of the Quran from the prophet directly to multiple annotators and scribes — this does not exist in Christianity.

The gospels of the New Testament are written in historical narrative literary style and was written at the very latest between 70-90 AD, maybe earlier but that is when Roman leaders wrote letters quoting the gospels. The Quran and the Bible make truth claims about Jesus. The Quran was written 600 years after Jesus, why should someone believe the Quran truth claims of Jesus over a source written during the same century Jesus lived

Another aspect to consider is that Christians can't even agree what "the Bible" is since different denominations include different books in their canon
