And Jesus never said they were wrong. to claim to be God is blasphemy unless you are Him
we all have God inside us
we were made in His image and got The Holy Spirit through baptism

If someone called you God, would you be okay with that? or would you say they were wrong? Jesus was called God by Thomas and didn't deny it.
To our understanding of the Bible he is, and the road to salvation in Christianity based on the Bible is confessing with heart and mouth that Christ is the son of God
God became human, dwelt with his people and died for his people
Christ was born into this world to share the pain of Man
Isn’t it so that we all and everything existing is manifested through gods energy, so we all are god at all times and Jesus just basically came on earth with getting the realisation of this being the truth and then people believed he’s connected to god and then probably made all those stories around him how he’s gods son while we all are, it’s just that Jesus knew and basically embodied god on this earth (while we all embody god, people just saw jesus as embodiment cause he spread this truth)?
Surprised at some of the decent answers itt
if u rly think about it the story is rly sad
like jesus was a real dude who got brutally murdered because he was mentally ill
s*** is f***ed up
I have no idea how people who are actual Christians aren't angry or mistrusting of God just from reading the Bible.

I find it interesting that Christianity is the only abrahamic religion that actually thinks their principal prophet is God. Jews don’t worship Moses & Muslims don’t worship Muhammad.
Jesus by far however, had the most miracles reported out of any prophet I’ve read about. He could talk perfectly since birth, heal the crippled & walk on water, etc.
His birth is also very interesting. I’m surprised why people don’t call him Gabriel’s child though as IT was THAT archangel that blew on Mother Mary’s sleeve causing her pregnancy. Not God/Elohim/Allah directly.

the reason jesus inherently isnt/cannot be the jewish messiah is because the jewish messiah is said to be born through the House of David. However christians believe jesus was born through the immaculate conception and not through Joseph - meaning that jesus was not through the house of david by blood. this isn't a contradiction within christian theology as christians believe jesus as a messiah abolished the old convenent (therefore rendering prior jewish theology deprecated) - but with jewish theology itself there is no logic under which jesus can really be considered the messiah unless you completely invalidate christian theology - the only way to reconcile this is basically with Islamic theology, which fills the gaps; i.e. jesus was the jewish messiah, he was not the son of god, christian theology is entirely wrong, jesus will return as promised again in Judiasm (alongside the Mahdi), and therefore Islam is the post-messianic/post-judaic fulfillment. However that itself raises questions in terms of the jewish faith if you consider the theologies chronological given the ideas contained within the jewish covenant; Fully reconciling all three is incredibly hard unless you can find a way to definitely know which parts of each faith aren't intrinsic but added by their followers

The most simple way to say it, yes
Not unlike the first primate to become conscious of its own existence
