I don't miss Bush by any means, but the Bush era was less actively embarrassing for the US compared to the absolute shambles we're in now. Plus, it led to a young, charismatic Democratic candidate that broke racial barriers, something that hasn't been given establishment support since. I think that's why there's some nostalgia.
