NoirI don't miss Bush by any means, but the Bush era was less actively embarrassing for the US compared to the absolute shambles we're in now. Plus, it led to a young, charismatic Democratic candidate that broke racial barriers, something that hasn't been given establishment support since. I think that's why there's some nostalgia.
But yeah W. was a lousy president.

The world's perception of America is no different under Trump than it was under Reagan, hate the guy, but isn't solely responsible for America's current predicament, like Bush wasn't responsible for the great recession.
