Drake will have to release three classics to catch up to where Kendrick is currently at. Safe to say he is never catching Kendrick
Drake only has 1 less classic than Kendrick.
So Far Gone, Take Care, and IYRTITL are easily classics.
S80, GKMC, TPAB, and DAMN are classics.

Drake, In My Opinion, has no classics. And Kendrick has 2 maybe 3.
Let’s be artist. Kendrick is just the better artist. That’s what it comes down too.
I guess I'm a king haha, but thanks. And yeah, I'm not tryna troll or anything. Drizzy and K Dot are dope as hell, been fans since day one. I just never really saw them as direct competition. As rap has grown, the genre is so diverse now that the idea of being #1 overall is kind of obsolete. If you like bars and bars only, and you like mainstream rap, Kendrick is probably your #1 guy. If you like musical diversity that incorporates rap as well as a variety of other genres pretty evenly, and you like mainstream rap, Drake is easily your #1 guy. If you like trap, street s***, Thug or Future are probably #1. That's why nobody can really firmly agree on #1 in the game anymore, as far as artistry is concerned (Drake obv #1 popularity wise tho no contest). The genre's so diverse rn that you can't really pin it down anymore to just 1.
In my opinion it’s much like Jay Z & Nas
Both were great rappers and sold a lot but from what i know they each had their own lanes
Jay Z had more mainstream hip hop appeal while Nas appealed the classical era of lyricism
Both Kings in their own right 💕
Kenny makes intellectual music, that people write about.
Drake makes catchy music, that people dance to.
In the beginning I liked Kenny the most, but a year or 2 ago I saw that the quality of making music that people actually likes to listen to, and not on some intellectual non body experience
I don't really think Kendrick makes intellectual music tbh.
I also think "intellectual music" is a dumb term, even tho you probably meant it innocuously.
Kendrick makes sharp witted music, but the only like, super brainy, dense thing he's put out, was TPAB. GKMC is no more intellectual than like, Aquemini, and I personally don't think of Aquemini as being brainy or anything.

I'll give it to you that GKMC and TPAB are better than anything Drake has made, but I'd put pretty much any of Drake's best projects over any of Kendrick's other projects after that. Especially DAMN, which while it's great, I'd say is super overrated. Take Care imo runs laps around DAMN.
One makes derivative rap
One make nuanced rap.
Drake is easier to listen to because it’s easier to make. Simpler beats, simpler rhyme structure, simpler subject matter
Kendrick is harder to listen to because of his versatility, how he layers concepts within a song and then layers it within an album.

I agree, and just like those times, corny tryhard backpack kids tried to rag on Hov for going pop. People try to do the same thing to Drake, even though history will put Drake in a very positive light artistically.
I have to disagree I don’t think any of those are universally accepted classics. Drake is a reflection of who is helping him create a project. Take Care is as good as it is because of The Weeknd.
NWTS was the major Jordan era
IYRTITL was Quentin Miller.
Views when he stared hanging around popcaan
More life when he started hanging around them Uk fellas.

“Intellectual music”
I swear people who find Kendrick music intellectually challenging aren’t intelligent in real life. Remind me of Scottie Beam saying she quit college because Lupe was kicking all the knowledge she needs 🤣
Plenty dumb niccas listen to Kendrick and are pretentious about it being some s*** only intellects can understand. I enjoy Kendrick but stop
Bc they've been the 2 most popular rappers since the last decade
Plus the sexual tension they had for a few years
They’re the two most popular rappers. The 2 top dogs will always get compared no matter the profession.

This is honestly ridiculous
Abel contributed his vocals on 4 songs out of 20, the songs he gave Drake sound completely different than the final product
QM contributed on 4 sounds out of 19
Why is it so hard to admit Drake is actually talented, he’s written hits for countless others

People act like Eminem doesn't have co-writer credits on hsi best songs. It's not like Drake kept his co-writers a secret, Quentin Miller was openly credited as a writer in IYRTITL. Majid Jordan had a whole feature on NWTS lol. Ye does the same s***.

I just mean that it touches the mind more then the body and I feel like that with TPAB

This is like saying TPAB was just a reflection of Flying Lotus's artistry lol.
I don't get how someone can hear the song "Take Care" and not instantly go "wow this is a masterpiece" come on now.

After Section 80, I feel Kendrick has been hitting the mind more, and emotions less. More by each album until Damn which I felt kinda brought some of the emotions back.
But nothing hits me pure in the feelings like A.D.H.D.
Pure Sonics

ADHD might be my favorite Kendrick song lol
but DAMN I honestly thought wasn't really that thought provoking, contrary to the narrative surrounding it. It sounded like a diet Kendrick album
