It’s a ridiculous point to make that because MJ used his music in sonic prince is somehow better
Don't get in your feels. I didn't say that made him better or worse. I'm saying reasons why his music wasn't everywhere like Mike's. Prince would turn down a lot of appearences and music placements. And late nineties is way after both acts were established. MJ didn't go as far or have to go as far as change his name and put out music independently.

Off the wall is a masterpiece
but everything after that I find to be a bit bland and I would never put MJ in the same league as Stevie Wonder or Prince when it comes to making pop music. But that's just me though
