there may be more drake fans on reddit than jpegmafia fans but when scorpion gets 11k upvoted and jpegmafia’s album gets 8.5k there’s clearly a disconnect
and reddit users (typically white men) seem to tend to disproportionately like fast/aggressive rappers and or weirdo rappers

there’s only a few rappers that are actually redditcore rap in that love for them on reddit far outweighs love for them in real life, this is because the main body of reddit in itself hates a massive majority of rap outside of well established older artists like HOV, BIG, or Big L or some s***. The very small portion of reddit that follows hiphop (1.9million of 330 million users) are mostly normal fans like us, combined with a number of people who really dive into this s*** music
