Dwight schrute is very anti-labor tho
They have different views but they have the same personality
When you sell your labor power for a wage that is capitalism
Thats what were dealing with
You mean wage labor?
Workers available for employment...
Since you were saying that all profit is exploitation. I feel like labor is open to more definitions.
This is completely wrong and the fact that you even spat that out your mouth shows the type of posters that align with Synopsis. Plenty of societies had no slavery. The concept of trade has always been present. If I have something of value, you “pay” me in something else of value. And to even compare forced free labor with voluntary labor is another problem in itself.
fool I don't entirely agree with Synops worldview or take here.... I generally agree on some of the sentiments.
Your argument was still fallacious and an appeal to antiquity.... Dead that shift to "the concept of trade"... We're talking about small businesses and capitalism.
Slavery had been around here for a long time and then it wasn't... It still exists in some parts of the world and has been around much longer than capitalism... It doesn't matter that slavery wasn't always around in every single society.... Capitalism wasn't always around in every society either.
And you don't seem to grasp that if you're born into a certain system you are essentially FORCED to partake in that system if you want to survive... There are different types of force and them not being equal in application doesn't mean they're still not force.
Serfdom was better than slavery and obviously capitalism is better than feudalism.
The question is... Is there a better, more moral or ethical way we can do things or is this the best we can do.
Agreed, also i’d like to add if a business cant afford to pay employees properly what should it exist at all
Small or big business
Define properly
Like a dollar amount
i love it how everyone writing paragraphs and synopsis replies with a sentence and keeps it moving lmao
How can we remedy this
overthrow of the capitalist system, removal of all exploitative relationships
A lot of small business owners (and entrepreneurs) are extremely narcissistic. I agree, sometimes their exploitation can be even more egregious - and it's honestly more disgusting because they'll exploit you to your face.
I know to the fortune 500 CEO I'm just a fraction of a number on a spreadsheet. To the small business owner, I'm "family", you see me everyday, and you still f*** me in the ass no lube.
